EMBRAER LINEAGE 1000 CERTIFIED

Embraer Executive Jets began 2009 by surpassing a major milestone with receipt of the Type Certificate (TC) and Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the Lineage 1000. The ultra-large business jet received a type certificate from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) in 2008. The first delivery of the airplane to Prestige Jet, a private jet charter service with operations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Madrid, Spain and Amman, Jordan is expected in the second quarter of this year.

The Lineage 1000 was launched in May of 2006 and is the largest and most refined executive jet in the Embraer product line. It is based on the Embraer 190 commercial jet which was certified in 2005. With its AA certification, the Lineage 1000, which has a maximum take off weight (MTOW) of 120,150 pounds (54,500 kg), is certified to operate under Extended Operations rules (ETOPS 120), which means it can fly routes that have a diversion airport up to 120 minutes from the flight path. These include long distance routes over oceans, deserts and other inhospitable areas, thus increasing its operational range, anywhere in the world. The airplane has a maximum range with NBAA IFR reserves of 4,400 nautical miles with eight passengers on board, or 4,500 nautical miles with four passengers.

The Lineage 1000 features a state-of-the-art Honeywell Primus Epic® avionics suite, which greatly reduces pilot workload. The FAA’s STC validates the modifications in the fully customizable executive jet interior, the inflight accessible cargo compartment, and the oxygen system.

The Lineage 1000 is fitted with a highly intuitive avionics suite and an extremely spacious interior that will accommodate up to 19 passengers in five distinct privacy zones. Each provides ultimate comfort and elegance as well state-of-the-art technologies to facilitate working or conducting meetings in flight. The configuration includes a private meeting room and divans with berthing capacity. A large, pressurized aft walk-in baggage area is also conveniently accessible during flight. Amenities aboard include wireless internet access, Ethernet and telephone connectivity.
